リニューアルされてThe Listに名称変更されます。
今まではポイントをひたすら貯めるだけのプログラムでしたが、
新プログラムでは上級会員になると客室アップグレード特典や
レイトチェックアウト特典などが、付与されるようです。

Peakpoints Loyalty Programme Termination
We wish to give you as our guests a simpler, more transparent rewarding experience. Therefore, we are excited to announce that we will be launching a new loyalty program towards the end of 2018: TheList™. The new loyalty program will allow you to easily collect generous rewards during every stay and to enjoy many great hotel benefits at our participating properties.
As a result, our current loyalty program, Peakpoints™ was terminated on April 16th, 2018 and you will have the opportunity to use your points collected through July 15th, 2018. *

* Per section 13.2 of Peakpoints Terms & Conditions, WorldHotels reserves the right to terminate the Peakpoints Programme at any time, giving ninety (90) days prior notice to its Members. Members may not earn or redeem points after the Programme’s termination.

日本国内ではリーガロイヤルホテル(大阪・京都・東京・広島のみ)、ポートピアホテル(神戸)、
ローズホテル横浜、ホテルメトロポリタン(池袋)、ホテルグランドパレス(飯田橋)、
第一ホテル東京、第一ホテルアネックスなどが加盟していますが、
Peakpointsの利用規約の中に「Bookings made through any Online Travel Agency (“OTA”) (Booking.com, Agoda.com, Expedia.com, etc.) will not be eligible to earn points.」と記載されているのにも関わらず、
第一ホテル東京、第一ホテルアネックス、ホテルグランドパレス(飯田橋)、
ホテルメトロポリタン(池袋)の4ヵ所は自社ウェブサイトからの予約ではOTAと同じ扱いになるので、
ポイントを付与できないというとんでもない返答でした。
上記4ホテル以外の6ホテルは自社ウェブサイトからの予約でもPeakpointを付与できるので、
新プログラムに移行する際には加盟ホテル全てが統一された運用をしてほしいものです。
最も東京都内にある加盟ホテル5か所のうち、リーガロイヤルホテル東京以外の4ヵ所は
伝統と格式が微妙なところばかりなので、自社ウェブサイトから予約した場合でPeakpointsが
付与されるようになっても、おそらく行かないかと存じます(笑)

リーガロイヤルホテル東京はバブル末期に開業したのに加え、
早稲田大学の迎賓館という役割も果たしているので、かなり豪華な造りになっています。
かなり微妙な場所(高田馬場駅からシャトルバスで10分)にあるので、日曜日と月曜日になると
破格なレートでジュニアスイートルームに泊まれたりします。
もう、西新宿にあるハイアットやヒルトンには戻れなくなります(笑)
確かにリーガロイヤルとポートピアは関西の三都を代表するホテルですが、
メトロポリタンやグランドパレスなどは東京では二流ですよね。

ただし いかんせんアクセスが悪いので躊躇しておりました。
私は別に1流 2流の区別はなく、いろいろなホテルチェーンの選択肢はありますが、
